Access student documents, update your information with SEMCA staff and get help with employment.

  • Electrical Apprentice Card

    Electrical Students: Once you gain employment with an electrical company, apply for your State of Michigan Apprentice Card.

    1.) Download the PDF linked below.

    2.) Complete Applicant Information.

    3.) Your employer must complete and sign the Sponsoring Employer Information section.

    4.) Submit completed form to Grace Bonventre (gbonventre@abcsemi.org), SEMCA Deputy Director, to sign off as Approved Related Technical Instruction Provider.

    5.) Follow directions at the top of the application to submit to Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with appropriate payment.

    6.) Keep a copy of your application for your records until your apprentice card is received.

    NOTE: State of Michigan LARA requires a yearly renewal of your apprentice card. Visit https://www.michigan.gov/lara for more information.
